Planning An Event?
Event Ideas
To launch a Prayer Sisters™ ministry within your church or organization, we suggest you introduce this new idea at a planned event. These events may range in style and length of time depending on your needs and preference. Events can be as elaborate or as simple as you desire.
Some suggestions for event ideas:
- Evening meeting
- Saturday workshop
- Luncheon
- Sunday morning (during Sunday School)
We suggest each event include the following:
Prayer
After all, this is what we're all about! We want God to be honored and His purpose fulfilled for each Prayer Sister.
Introductions
Our objective is to help women connect, not just give them yet another meeting to attend! Plan a comfortable icebreaker or other idea to help the women meet each other.
Address Need
Identify with each woman's need for friendship and prayer support. This can be achieved through an inspirational talk or by posing questions to the audience and giving them a chance to respond.
Explain Prayer Sisters™
Introduce the concept of Prayer Sisters™ and tell them how to get started. Encourage women to reach out to existing friends as well as strangers to form their own Prayer Sisters™ groups.
Announce Follow-Up Plans
We want to continue to assist Prayer Sisters™ groups once they are established. The only way we can do that is if groups register with us. You may choose to have individual groups register on our website, or you my prefer to collect the data for your own records first, and then register all of your groups with us yourself.
Have at least one event planned for a future date. This is a time when all of the Prayer Sisters™ come together to celebrate their life-changing relationships and answered prayers, and to encourage those just starting a Prayer Sisters™ group. We suggest two to three events per year.
A Prayer Sisters™ speaker is available to assist you with your event if you'd like!
Advertisements
The key to a well-attended event is proper advertising. Begin advertising at least one month in advance of your event. We provide some suggestions here. Feel free to copy them, or if you prefer you may design your own promotional materials using content from within our website.
